HONESTY- COMMON SENSE - EXPERIENCE
WHAT I WOULD DO IF ELECTED:
1) Apply my skills and experience learned in
corporate America toward the Office of DuPage
County Recorder;
2) Make the Office more responsive in the public
release of data (property transfers) from
the current 6 to 7 months to 3 to 4 months
(April 16th, Reporter/Progress);
3) Implement a MBO format (Management By
Objectives); this management technique identifies
the most urgent problems and solves them
by involving all staff personnel with their input and
solution;
4) Continue to seek cost effective ways to streamline
the Office and its services; and
5) Promote a high level of courteous, flexible and
effective service that is expected of this County Office.
SKILLS BROUGHT TO POSITION:
1) Proven problem-solver of complex issues with a
high level of analytical ability;
2) High level of computer knowledge and
analytical tools-Excel, Access and Crystal Reports;
3) Supervised staff while Dana’s Manager of Planning;
4) Six Sigma Green Belt Trained in September 2006,
which is a method that:
- Improves performance;
- Lowers cost and cycle time;
- Improves customer satisfaction;
- Increases capacity and capability;
- Reduces complexity; and
- Minimizes defects and errors.
5) Strong interpersonal and listening skills with the ability to cut to the heart of a problem.
